Tivoli Fountain
State of Washington, Department of Enterprise Services
The Tivoli Fountain was built in 1953, inspired by the benefactor’s visit to Tivoli Park in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1949. This fountain was inspired by the fountains of Villa d’Este in Tivoli, a town about 16 miles east of Rome that contains one of the finest surviving examples of a garden from the Renaissance period in Italy.
After an extensive analysis of the fountain’s current state of disrepair, Waterline provided recommendations to facilitate a successful renovation back to its original design intent. Waterline provided design services for the water feature which provided a reduction in water loss, reduction in maintenance, and provided a more energy efficient system.
